HARD

Do you know incremental progress is a thing? Yes, take small steps consistently and there will be progress. But you must be consistent. There are wonderful examples of this: athletic training, learning a new language and playing a new instrument. Spend 30 minutes each day for 30 days, you will see improvement. Compound Interest is another example of this concept of increment improvement. Coaches can assist with making those incremental improvements in life.
For the past month, I have not been consistent. As the kids say, “Life has been Lifing”. So, what have I decided to do? There is a program called 75 HARD. But I am modifying it a bit. The program requires the participant to drink a gallon of water, exercise twice daily for 45 minutes twice daily – one indoors and one outdoors, no alcohol, select a diet and stick with it with no “cheat” days, take a picture of yourself and read a self-help Book (Not an eBook) daily. And I mean daily. The commitment – 75 days. My modification is on the gallon of water. Instead, I will drink 3/4 of a gallon each day.
So, what is the “HARD” part? If you miss any of the items on any day, you must go back to day 1. You cannot skip a day for any reason – illness, weather, obligations. All items must be done daily.
I like this program because you do see incremental progress. There is joy in seeing the benefit of your hard work. It’s motivational. How do I know? I started this program on January 1, 2024. But due to travel and family obligations, I stop. The photos told a great story. I was more toned and calmer.
I started again yesterday at Day 1. Stay tuned for updates. I took the dreaded photo of shame last night. That alone is motivation. I heard a very wise man (My Dad) say recently, you must move or die. It’s a binary concept. There is no middle ground. Benefits of this program are so many. It is about have a mindset of growth and toughness. It can and will hit all the facets of my focus – Faith, Family, Fitness, Finance and Fun.
I am looking forward to the growth. Are you interested and need a coach to help you move forward to your best self?
