Starting

Why is getting started so hard to do?  I have a great idea, a wonderful story, an amazing anecdote to share; but I just can’t get myself to start.  I have closets of things in need of organizing, I have pictures in need of cataloguing, I have an office in need of repurposing.   Where do I start?  How do I start?  Do I have the skills needed to figure this all out?  Maybe I should just go somewhere and sit down.  Enjoy this new time of my life.

Those who know me know I just can’t keep still. I must be involved in something, working with others, planning, and shaping each day and ending each day feeling like I was able to get something done.  

In Genesis 1:1, it reads “In the beginning….”.   This is the blessing of the creation.  It started.  It came to be.  In the beginning.  

If you have a small task or a monumental undertaking, start at the beginning.  What is the worst thing that can happen? Or let’s flip it, what is the best thing that can happen?  You will not know until you start.  Do you need a push to get started and to also keep going?  Having a partner will make all the difference.
